From September, I’ll be moving to Manchester, where I’ll be working with Ambassadors in Sport. As you may know, they work in sports ministry using football to build up relationships with people and tell them about Jesus. I’ll be part of one of the Ambassadors’ training programmes called The Ambassadors Academy.

There are many different parts to the work that I’ll be doing. The majority of my time will be focused on coaching in inner-city Manchester, which will be one of toughest parts of the city. I’ll be living and working there; spending time in schools coaching local kids to develop their footballing talents and abilities. Through the relationships that I build up, I’ll also be telling them about Jesus.

As well as this, I’ll also be involved in the wider programme of Ambassadors in Sport, both in England and across the world. I’ll be able to attend staff meetings and prayer times, which will be an immense blessing and an opportunity to learn from the Bible. There are the Soccer Schools and Soccer Weekends across the whole of the UK that I’ll be asked to be involved in.

I am really excited about the year ahead and know that God has called me to this time. I really want and need you to be a part of this as well. Firstly, I need to you to pray for me. I’ll be sending out regular newsletters, letting you know how I’m doing, how the work is going, what God is doing, and what I need you to pray for. To get one of my newsletters, I need to know really soon that you want to support me through prayer.

The other way you can also get involved is by supporting me financially. I am seeking to raise this sum through various means, one of which is a sponsored cycle ride which I will be doing on 2nd October. Please consider sponsoring me and helping me to achieve this target.
