What is the PCC?
It is a legal body that has responsibility for the care and maintenance of the church buildings, financial affairs of the church and has a concern for the ongoing worship, teaching and mission of the church.
PCC members discuss topical issues in the life of the church, then formulate policies and make decisions about areas of church life, for example: baptism, use of the buildings, remarriage of those after a divorce, and support for mission partners.
At All Saints', matters for discussion come to the PCC from the Core Team, the Staff Team, the Treasurer, Cell Pastors, Cell Leaders, the Deanery Synod and Churches Together in Marple - see Staff and Churches Together. Members of the congregation can share their views on policy issues with members of the PCC.
