From Old Testament records we learn that the wedding ceremony has been popular for over 4000 years, marking the point in time when two people choose to live together and have a family.
Today’s ceremony may be very different from that of the ancient people of Israel but we pray that God will still bless the couples that get married in our church.
All Saints’ Church is a traditional Victorian church, built in 1880, but with the original pews replaced by comfortable chairs and with improved lighting and heating systems.
The ceremony itself takes place at the chancel steps. Some couples take Communion at the Communion table at the far end of the chancel.
