Life Groups

Jesus’ mission has not changed in 2000 years and remains the same today as when he first announced it at the beginning of his earthly ministry. It is to see the presence and influence of the Kingdom of God reach into every life and every situation on earth. In short, Jesus is looking for disciples who will themselves make disciples. This is the task to which All Saints’ is thoroughly committed, and to be a member of All Saints’ means to be actively involved in this task.

Our Life Groups are intentionally missional in focus and are primarily concerned with relationship between members equipping people to live all of life well, particularly in the areas of life where they have a particular heart. God has strategically placed each one of us in workplaces, leisure clubs, social and friendship groups, and community organisations and calls us to be a positive and active agent of his Kingdom in exactly those places. Those with a similar heart for certain people, places or issues are encouraged to meet together as a Life Group in order to properly focus on the passions and opportunities God has put in their lives. Life Groups are so called because they exist to equip us for life in every aspect, and also to help others discover the life in all its fullness which is God’s aim for us.

A few questions we might ask to identify whether a Life Group may be appropriate for you might include:

1.    Where are you now?

2.    Where do you have influence?

3.    What are the specific gifts that God has given you?

4.    What do you really care about/ get angry about?

Missional Communities

Each Life Group is grouped together with a number of others that have a broadly similar concern, to form Missional Communities. The leaders of these Life Groups meet regularly with a ‘Missional Community Leader’, continuing the church’s commitment to discipling those who make disciples. Missional Communities that consist of several Life Groups often meet together for specific events or initiatives that require a larger number of people than are in a single Life Group.
