Opportunities to pray together
We believe, along with John Wesley, that “God does nothing but in answer to prayer.” For this reason, we reckon that praying for the needs of our church and community and praying for the advance of God’s Kingdom and the growth of the Gospel are key priorities. There are a number of ways in which church members gather together for this purpose:

Daily gatherings for prayer to which anyone is welcome: The Staff Team meets at 9.00 - 9.30am Monday - Thursday in the Prayer Room at the back of the church to pray together. These gatherings are open to everyone in the church family as we read Scripture, worship and pray together for the different mission and ministry activities in the life of the church.

Once a month we gather in the church building on a Thursday evening for a longer time of prayer. The evenings alternate between:

A Prayer meeting: for Intercessory Prayer when we pray for our local community, country and the wider world, including our mission partners, and

Hungry: a time for all those who are hungry for more of God to worship, listen to God and seek an encounter with him.

For dates contact the office or click here look at the monthly newsheet.

Intercessors
A group of intercessors commit themselves to pray for specific needs. Contact Jill Taylor, tel: 0161 427 8753

Prayer Ministry
We welcome the chance to pray with people for a wide range of issues, or for an encounter with God! This is a way of taking a few minutes to let God Himself minister to you, with the extra encouragement of others praying alongside you.  Prayer Ministry is available after every 9.15am, 11.15am and 6.30pm Sunday services.

Healing on the Streets (HOTS)
The HOTS team are available every Saturday on Market Street (except in the worst of weathers!) to offer prayer to those who don’t usually come to church, but who appreciate an opportunity make their needs known to God. We will either pray for people there and then, or will fill in a prayer request card, which will be given to one of the team so that they can pray during the week.

Pastoral Prayer Ministry
This is more in-depth prayer for when you are struggling with a situation, or need the support of others alongside you to deal with spiritual issues. It can help you to find God’s healing power, set you free from areas of difficulty and help you to grow in the application of your faith. For more information contact Chris McComiskey Tel 0161 427 0350.
