Directions from Buxton

• Take the A6 towards Stockport, through Disley and past Lyme Hall on your left

• At High Lane, look out for the Red Lion on the left (see photo)

• Half a mile from the Red Lion is a signpost to Marple (see photo)

• Turn right just past the Horse Shoe towards Marple

• After 1½ miles, on the right is a green (called Hawk Green)

• Turn right just in front of the Crown at the far end of the green (yellow building, centre of photo)

• After 400 yards, turn left towards Marple pausing to admire the view as you turn the corner (see photo)

• After 800 yards, you will see All Saints’ Church on the right-hand side

• Turn right into the car park noticing the variety of car paint that generous visitors have left on the bollard at the entrance
