Mid-week activities

Pop-In

Every Thursday the church is open between 10.30 am and noon for people to call in for a coffee and a chat. There is also now an opportunity to meet for prayer in the church on the third Thursday of the month at 9.45 am.

Friendship group

The friendship group is held on the first Tuesday of the month at 7.45 pm in the Church Room. The group is run by people from the community of Strines, although some church members also attend. The programme includes talks on a wide range of subjects as well as social events.

Bible fellowship

This is the central meeting of St Paul’s and is held on the third Tuesday of each month at 7.30 pm. We meet to study the bible, to discuss how to apply its teaching to our daily lives, as well as to pray together, and for fellowship over tea and biscuits at the end of the evening. The bible study and the prayer time are led by Christine Blodwell.

In August, we meet for a fellowship meal at Whaley Hall and at Christmas, our meeting is for Music, Meditation and Mince Pies. As with all our meetings, everyone is welcome to join us.

Cell groups

Meetings are held at a member’s home on Thursday evenings at 7.30 pm. We meet for worship, bible study, prayer and fellowship. The group organises social events which are open to all church members and people in the community of Strines.

We now have a daytime cell which meets on Monday afternoon between 2 pm and 4 pm in the Church Room. This is primarily for those who prefer a daytime meeting but anyone is welcome to come along.

Games evening

This is held on Wednesday evenings between 7 pm and 9 pm in the Church Room. It includes darts, snooker, dominoes and other activities, as well as light refreshments and a warm welcome for people of all ages.
